Situated in the North East of the Island, directly across the border into Northern Ireland. A designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and UNESCO Global GeoPark. The Mournes include high mountain areas, pockets of rich forestry, coastline, beaches and rivers.

Mourne Shack has a hut at Meelmore Lodge, one of the main gateways to the Mourne Mountains. We also use accommodation at Bloody Bridge Camping. We have accommodation, food, coffee, showers, WIFI and toilets.
